The city of Córdoba, in Spain, wanted to design a playground in tribute to its river, the Guadalquivir, which opened up trade with the Mediterranean countries.

By constructing a 12-metre-long, three-masted boat in two colours, Proludic and its Spanish distributor, HPC Ibérica, created a highly thematic and attractive playground.

The boat itself offers a wide variety of play activities. A climbing arch, two slides, a climbing wall, four tunnels, lots of tactile play equipment, a tiller and a telescope have create a playground that encourages interaction between children, in a dynamic, fun-filled environment.

The surrounding décor was designed to further enhance the play value of the site: the safer surfacing with its changes of level and graphics enriches the visual aspect of the space and further stimulates children's imaginations.

Spring riders and climbing frames provide additional activities around the boat.
